Because Santa Fe Springs wants its residents to know where to go and what to do in an emergency, the city held a public unveiling of its new emergency preparedness centers Wednesday morning.

The centers, such as the one officials displayed at Lake Center Junior High School, are housed in each of the city’s public and private schools and consist of a cache containing 72 hours worth of emergency supplies.
