Two Strikes: John F. Kennedy Jr., 29, is at the Albany Law School for a review course on the tortuous 12 1/2-hour New York bar exam, which he takes in July after having failed it twice, the Albany Times Union reported Tuesday. Kennedy will be asked to leave his $30,000 assistant prosecutor’s job with the Manhattan district attorney’s office if he fails a third time.

Vandalism: State officials in Springfield, Ill., said Tuesday vandals stole $100 from a container at Abraham Lincoln’s tomb Monday night or Tuesday morning. Officials said someone used bolt cutters to break into a container where people throw coins to help pay for the tomb’s upkeep.

* Check Them Out: Donald Trump and Adnan Khashoggi recently cashed 13-cent checks to become co-winners of Spy magazine’s search for “America’s cheapest zillionaire.” Spy created a fake “refund clearinghouse” and opened a checking account. The magazine then zipped out “refund” checks of $1.11 to 58 “well-heeled Americans.” Trump, Khashoggi, Cher, Harry Helmsley and Kurt Vonnegut were among 26 people who cashed the checks. Then Spy sent 64-cent checks to the 26. Thirteen cashed these, and they received a third check, for 13 cents; Trump and Khashoggi cashed them.

Members of the Hash House Harriers said Tuesday that police confiscated the group’s T-shirts and canceled two runs. “It’s all rather stupid,” said a club member.
