New Curbs on Assault Weapons and Second Amendment Rights
So the NRA thinks that anyone should be able to buy an Uzi or a “Street Sweeper” semiautomatic assault weapon. Why? No “law-abiding” respectable hunter is going to use one to kill deer, but crackpots and drug dealers are sure using them to kill people.
Let’s back our police chiefs who want these weapons of war banned so their men have a fighting chance. The 1% of our nation who belong to the NRA should not be able to thwart the 83% of us who want these murderous weapons banned.
How can this 1% of the population command 49% of the Senate vote? Because we don’t get on the phone and tell our congressmen to vote for the silent majority who want protection from massacre.
