The Pride of America Defense syndicate was eliminated as San Diego Yacht Club concluded two days of planning for the 1992 America’s Cup. Three other syndicates were put on notice.

The Pride syndicate had failed to send a representative to the meetings. San Diego’s Betsy Ross group, the U.S. Women’s Defense Syndicate of Portola, Calif., and the Advance America Defense of New Jersey were warned that their efforts were lagging behind the expectations of the American’s Cup Organizing Committee.
