La Salsa Claims Unfair Competition: La Salsa Inc., a Los Angeles restaurant franchiser, filed an unfair competition suit Wednesday, claiming that Sessi Azar and Mohammed Sarebanha stole its trade secrets to set up a competing eatery. The Los Angeles Superior Court suit says La Salsa revealed proprietary information to the men while they were negotiating to become franchisees. When that deal failed, the suit says, the men allegedly opened their own restaurant, using information gleaned from La Salsa. The suit seeks damages and a court order barring them from using the information. (Filed June 6, 1990. Case No. BC002820)
