Crenshaw : Hearing on Development
Los Angeles City Councilwoman Ruth Galanter will sponsor a public hearing to discuss ways to control development in the Baldwin Hills, Crenshaw and Leimert Park areas Wednesday at Audubon Junior High School, 4120 11th Ave. The hearing will begin at 4 p.m.
The purpose of the hearing is to increase public involvement in a proposal to write an Interim Plan Revision Ordinance for the area, one of the opening steps in revising the area’s community plan. The community plan will set guidelines for the commercial, industrial and residential growth of an area.
“The community plan revision process will give all the residents a voice in shaping the future of their community,” Galanter said. “It’s important that people make their voice heard by participating in the hearings and telling us what they think.”
