Fixed-Rate Mortgages Rise Slightly: Fixed-rate home mortgages averaged 10.12% last week, up from 10.10% the week before, according to a national survey by the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corp. On one-year adjustable-rate mortgages, lenders were asking an average initial rate of 8.44% last week, down from 8.50% the week before. The rates, compiled from a national survey, do not include add-on fees known as points.
