From Times Staff and Wire Reports

Faced with threatening weather, authorities in Shadyside, Ohio, ordered the evacuation of residents in areas ravaged by deadly floods last week. Jean Curry, a spokeswoman at the Shadyside Disaster Center, said about 150 people were evacuated from along the Pipe and Wegee creeks. The National Weather Service issued a flood watch for southern Ohio and said as much as 3 inches of rain could fall in eastern Ohio, the same area where 5 1/2 inches created giant walls of water last week. Meanwhile, authorities reported discovering the body of the 22nd confirmed victim of the flood. Its identity has not been determined.
