Malibu : Youth Citizen Seminar Set
Art Linkletter and former U.S. Sen. John Tunney (D-Calif.) will be among the speakers at the 13th annual Youth Citizenship Seminar at Pepperdine University next week.
About 250 student leaders from public and private high schools in Southern California are expected to attend the seminar, funded by local business and civic leaders. The five-day program, which begins Monday, will focus on personal and economic freedom, comparative political systems, international affairs and citizenship, a university spokesman said.
Other participants include political commentator Bruce Herschensohn; consumer advocate David Horowitz; Lodwrick M. Cook, chief executive officer of the Atlantic Richfield Co., and author and actor Ben Stein, who frequently appears on the TV series “The Wonder Years.”
