Shamrock Holdings Forms New Investment Fund: Shamrock Holdings, the private investment company headed by Walt Disney’s nephew, Roy Disney, has formed a partnership to bail out companies overburdened by debt, said Shamrock’s chief executive, Stanley P. Gold. The $450-million fund raised money primarily from previous investors in Shamrock. Shamrock’s fund, Trefoil Capital Partners, is allowed to attempt hostile takeovers under the terms of the partnership. However, it is expected to concentrate on friendly, “white-knight” deals.
