Media District Condos
Twin Oaks, a 37-unit condominium project by Cusumano Development Co., opens today across the street from the Burbank Studios Movie Ranch.
Incorporating an entertainment theme, the one-, two- and three-bedroom units in Burbank’s Media District range in size from 825 to 1,514 square feet, priced from $150,000 to $250,000.
Amenities include oak cabinets, fireplaces and wet bars in many plans, panel doors with lever handles, central air conditioning, washers and dryers and dual-glazed windows.
The monthly association fee ranges from $115 to $145 and covers maintenance of common areas, including a recreation room. First move-ins are scheduled for September. Models are open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily at 400 Hollywood Way, reached from the northbound Hollywood Way exit of the Ventura (134) Freeway.
Franklin Towers
The Franklin Towers apartment building on Franklin Avenue in Hollywood opens today as a completely renovated 190-unit condominium development by Axiom Development & Investments Corp.
The one-, two- and three-bedroom units range in size from 950 to 2,300 square feet and in price from $132,900 to $575,000. Half the units in the 26-year-old, 13-story building have been sold, according to Steve Porter of King New Homes, the sales agent.
First move-ins will be in 30 to 45 days. The monthly association fee ranges from $332 to $404 and pays for upkeep of a pool, spa, fitness center, roof-top sun decks, concierge, valet parking and other amenities.
Four furnished models are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekends, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays at 7250 Franklin Ave., about half a block west of La Brea Avenue.
‘Classics’ in Murrieta
Costain Classics at Silverhawk, a development of 126 move-up houses, opens today in the 630-acre Silverhawk planned community in Murrieta.
The 10 three- and four-bedroom houses in the first phase have 2,022 to 2,729 square feet of living area and are priced from $179,000 to $215,000.
Designed by Bassenian/Lagoni Architects, the three two-story plans feature three-car garages, living and dining rooms and three baths in the four-bedroom plan. First move-ins are scheduled for November. The builder is Costain Homes Inc., Newport Beach.
A sales office is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily at 30448 Corte Santalina, near the intersection of Murrieta Hot Springs and Winchester roads, reached from the eastbound Winchester Road exit of Interstate 215. Models are due to open later this summer.
Sea-Style Town Homes
The Oakridge Townhomes, a project developed by Case Boogaard, opens this weekend at 17036 Downey Ave., Bellflower.
Designed in a Cape Cod style with ocean-oriented colors and concrete “cobblestone” surfaces, the 30-home gated community offers total electronic security, with additional pedestrian gate and a 24-hour interior security monitoring system.
Each of the three-level homes in the two 1,554-square-foot floor plans has a separate covered lattice entry way, two-car garage and bonus room, as well as spacious master bedroom with double closets and secondary bedroom with mirrored wardrobe doors and bedside security system.
The town homes are priced from $179,900 to $184,900 and include Kohler cast-iron kitchen sinks and bathtubs as well as Magic Chef kitchen appliances.
The project is open daily, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., except on Thursdays.
Starter Homes in Perris
The new Daybreak community in Perris, just east of Lake Elsinore, is holding a grand opening of its affordably priced single-family homes, themed for a country-oriented lifestyle.
The project offers four floor plans in a size range of 1,197 to 1,987 square feet, with prices ranging from $115,990 to $145,990. The homes are targeted for young families and first-time home buyers. All have vaulted ceilings, central air conditioning, wood-burning fireplaces accented with ceramic tile, carpeting and master baths with dual-basin pullmans.
The single- and two-story models built by Pacesetter Homes have luxury kitchens that include a stove with pilotless ignition, automatic dishwasher, garbage disposal and trash compactor, tile and oak cabinets and a spacious pantry. Two-car garages with direct interior access, front yard landscaping with sprinklers and rear-yard fencing also are included.
Four furnished models are open daily between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. at 1144 Dolphin Park Drive in Perris. To reach the project, take the 215 Freeway south, exit east on Nuevo Road and turn right on Redlands Street.
