San Francisco Skipper Takes First in Carr Cup

Don Trask of the St. Francis Yacht Club in San Francisco skippered his Etchell 22 to first place in the Carr Cup held over the weekend off the coast of Coronado. In five races hosted by the Southwestern Yacht Club, Trask took three first places, a second and a third for 7 3/4 points.

The Carr Cup is a one-design race contested between yacht clubs along the West Coast that qualified earlier for the finals. Skippers must be 50 or over and crew members 40 or over.
