U.S. to Lift Sanctions on Brazilian Exports

WASHINGTON —
The United States will lift sanctions on Brazilian exports worth about $39 million a year because of Brazil’s decision to tighten patent protection for U.S. pharmaceuticals, Trade Representative Carla Hills said today.
It was the second time in two months that the United States has dropped actions taken because of allegedly unfair trade practices by Brazil.
