Cray Agrees to Deal: Cray Research Inc. said it agreed to give Yokogawa Electric exclusive right in Japan to sell, support and service Cray’s first mini-supercomputer, based on Supertek S-1 hardware. Yokogawa and Cray said they were also discussing arrangements for distribution, support and service of future Cray mini-supercomputer products. Minneapolis-based Cray acquired the S-1 system with the recent purchase of Supertek Computers Inc. of Santa Clara, Calif.
