Skeet competition is one of two shotgun disciplines in which shooters try to hit clay targets that are mechanically thrown from trap houses.

The 13-day U.S. tournament determines national champions in 18 Olympic-style events. Forty-six shooters from the tournament were selected to compete at the World Shooting Championships in Moscow, Aug. 5-20.
