Venezuela’s Oil Company Wants to Leave OPEC: The state oil monopoly Petroleos de Venezuela SA said it is obeying OPEC quotas but did not deny a report that it is pressing the government to take Venezuela out of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries. “PDVSA complies and will continue to comply at all times with the guidelines of oil policy laid down, or that will be laid down, by the national government,” it said. El Nacional newspaper reported that PDVSA wants Venezuela to leave OPEC.
