Beverly Hills : Greystone Mansion Repair
Workers have begun to repair stretches of asphalt and concrete at the city-owned Greystone Mansion that have deteriorated.
The work, which was authorized to maintain the building pending a decision on its eventual use, is not expected to cost more than $400,000.
Other work to be done on the mansion will include repairing the roof, doors and windows, rain gutters and electrical systems.
As the work proceeds, efforts will continue to find a use for the building, which has been empty for much of the past decade. The latest proposal envisions it as a conference center.
