Girard Seeks Financing for Pic ‘N’ Save Bid: Girard Partners said it still is seeking financing to make a bid for the Pic ‘N’ Save retail chain. Girard, led by La Jolla financier David H. Batchelder, also reaffirmed that it expects to resume its proxy fight for control of Pic ‘N’ Save if the Dominguez-based company fails to arrange a buyout with it or another bidder by a Sunday deadline. Shares of Pic ‘N’ Save , which specializes in close-out and other discount merchandise, fell 25 cents Monday to close at $11.75.
