COKE OPENS EUROPE’S BIGGEST SODA POP PLANT

The joint venture between the Coca-Cola Co. and Schweppe’s Beverage Ltd. has opened Eurpoe’s largest soft drink plant in Wakefield, England.

Donald R. Keough, Coca-Cola president and chief operating officer, said the $102.5-million plant has two lines that produce 2,000 cans a minute.
