L. Ron Hubbard’s Church of Scientology

Share

I finally realized what the basic thing wrong with your articles on Scientology is. You have taken the rare exception and portrayed it as the norm. Doing this causes an enormous distortion of the real situation. It is very unfair.

The truth is that Scientologists, because of Scientology, are definitely generally brighter, cleaner, happier and more aware than the average person. They tend to be very strong individuals, capable of handling much larger areas of responsibility than most people. If that portrait is vastly different than the one you try to portray, it shows how off the mark one can get with this method of “journalism.”

You can learn almost nothing about a subject by asking a few people who have left it disgruntled. Ask those who are honestly studying and using it--there are tens of thousands more than the few you can find who wish to attack it. There’s actually no comparison in the numbers--so which group is more likely to have the true “story” you’re so interested in?
