INS Decides to Have Green Cards Made in France

PARIS —
The “green cards” issued to aliens living in the United States will henceforth be made in France, a French company announced today.
Thomson-CSF, a major manufacturer of military equipment, said it has been selected by the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service to produce a new generation of resident alien permits, commonly known as green cards.
The new cards will include a color ID photo, fingerprints and signature.
