Fedders Will Acquire Emerson Quiet Cool

PEAPACK, N.J. — Fedders Corp., a leading manufacturer of air conditioners, said it plans to acquire rival Emerson Quiet Kool from Jepson Corp.
Financial details of the transaction, which will combine two of the best-known names in air conditioners, were not disclosed.
Emerson Quiet Kool is the room air conditioner division of Elmhurst, Ill.-based Jepson.
