The Years of Wim

It would seem to me that when writing an article concerning an individual as talented as director Wim Wenders (July 1), your editors would check inconsistencies--particular when referring to age.

Kristina McKenna writes that Wenders is “approaching” 50 years old. Later in the article, his year of birth is stated as 1945. For those of us who can add--this translates into 45 years of age.

I fail to understand why the writer had Wenders approaching 50 five years before the fact.

When you decide to write about me, please make sure you are accurate in your age count. Most of us enjoy being right where we are--not placed into some arbitrary age group by unknown individuals.
