Nation IN BRIEF : GEORGIA : Judge Orders Halt to State Drug Tests

A federal judge in Atlanta ordered the state to stop mandatory drug testing for job applicants until he holds another hearing on a lawsuit contending the state’s new drug testing law is unconstitutional. U.S. District Judge Robert Hall granted a request for a temporary restraining order that will allow Atlanta lawyer Ed Martin to take a job with the state Department of Human Resources without undergoing the test.
