P.M. BRIEFING : Reuters Earnings Increase 27%

LONDON —
Reuters Holdings PLC, the British news agency and financial information services group, said today that earnings jumped 27% in the first half of the year, helped by strong sales in all major markets, particularly Europe.
Reuters said earnings for the six months ended June 30 totaled $188 million, compared with $148 million in the same period a year ago.
