Convenience Stores for Thailand: Atlantic Richfield Co.’s Am/Pm International subsidiary signed a joint venture and licensing agreement with Thai investors to open more than 500 am/pm convenience food stores throughout Thailand over the next 10 years. The joint venture company, am/pm Thailand Ltd., will be 80% owned by the Thais and 20% owned by Am/Pm International. Terms were not disclosed. It’s the latest global venture for Am/Pm: other stores are opening in Canada, Spain, Portugal, Japan and Taiwan.
