Opening of Library-Museum Returns Nixon to Limelight

In almost any article one reads about individuals attempting to overcome some personal tragedy in their lives, their ending sentence is almost always, “I just want to put this behind me and get on with my life.” Richard Nixon is the quintessential example of that statement. He has put terrible disgrace behind him, gone on with his life, contributed much good to society and our country in his many travels and with his excellent books.

He has become a towering example of the indomitable spirit of an intelligent and courageous man. He’s probably the only politician alive today who truly deserves our respect and forgiveness. And he did it the old-fashioned way: He earned it.
