FIGHTING WORDS

I am one of the persons who would not comment on the Aida Dimaranan case. My rationale for not making my point of view known was that this case is being litigated. However, I have been distressed by the article ever since I read it. Here is my side:

The coaching and guidance that Dimaranan received from the ACLU before any charges were filed were disgraceful. The ACLU needed to develop a case that could help it set a precedent with language laws. The real facts have to do with an employee who was not performing according to the expectations required by the job. Dimaranan was coached, guided and directed for more than 1 1/2 years, which resulted in a demotion. The language issue was only a symptom of the real problem--Dimaranan’s inability to manage a group of nurses, which resulted in a division among her staff.
