Tandon Corp., a Moorpark personal computer maker, said its European sales rose 15% to $192.5 million in the first half of 1990, compared with the same period a year earlier. Sales in Europe accounted for 95% of Tandon’s revenues in the six months that ended June 30, Tandon said.

The company also said sales of its more expensive computer systems helped push profit margins--the amount of profit per dollar of sales--up to 30% from 19% in the first half of 1989. It also said it improved its balance sheet, with working capital of about $99 million compared with $83 million a year earlier.
