The owner of a huge arsenal remained at large Monday after police seized more than 500 firearms and an antitank gun from his duplex.

An arrest warrant was issued for Henry Stram, 50, police Lt. Richard Bongiorno said. The warrant alleges illegal possession of a machine gun, two counts of possession of infernal machines and possession of explosive fireworks.

“We believe he’s on Cape Cod,” Bongiorno said, adding that officials there are cooperating with his department.

Two weekend raids at Stram’s home in a residential section of Cambridge yielded more than 200 handguns, 300 rifles, an antitank gun, antique guns, mortar shells and “thousands and thousands of rounds of ammunition,” Lt. Donald Carney said.

Police said the firepower in the home was enough to outgun the department.

Stram is licensed to carry firearms and was known to neighbors as a gun collector and a member of the National Guard. Police seized his entire collection.
