Treasury Plans Record Auction: The Treasury tentatively plans a record quarterly auction of $32.25 billion in notes and bonds next week. The auction is contingent upon Congress enacting legislation by Monday that raises the federal debt ceiling above the current $3.12 trillion. The securities and the days they will be sold: $11.5 billion in three-year notes in minimum denominations of $5,000, Tuesday; $10.5 billion in 10-year notes in minimum denominations of $1,000, Wednesday; $10.25 billion in 30-year bonds in minimum denominations of $1,000, Thursday.
