Reve d’Udon of France, driven by Yves Dreux and competing on a half-mile track for the first time, set a world record of 2:28 3/5 in winning the 1 1/4-mile International Trot at Yonkers Raceway.

Reve d’Udon, a 7-year-old bay horse, broke the record of 2:30 set by Lutin d’Isigny, also of France, in winning the International in 1984.
