WHERE THE U.S. GETS ITS FOREIGN OIL

The Iraq-Kuwait crisis has heightened concern and, in many cases, gas prices in the United States in the wake of the shutdown of oil exports from Kuwait and Iraq.

Here, from the Energy Information Administration, are the amounts of U.S. crude oil imports from foreign sources, in thousands of barrels, from January through May, 1990:
