Coke, Schweppes to Open British Plant: Coca-Cola Co. and Cadbury Schweppes PLC will build a $187-million soft-drink production plant in southern England. The companies said the new facility is needed to meet the growing demand for soft drinks in Great Britain, where consumption grew 13% last year. Sites in Northampton and Banbury are being considered for the new plant, which is scheduled to be completed in 1992.
