Clash Reported After Accord on Mohawk Talks

OKA, Quebec —
Police lobbed tear gas late Sunday into a crowd of several thousand anti-Mohawk demonstrators who had pelted them with rocks and bottles near Indian barricades on a bridge to Montreal. Earlier, Mohawks and government officials said they agreed to resume talks aimed at ending a month-old standoff. Talks are expected to begin in two days.
