Martin Marietta Gets Jet Contract

BETHESDA, Md. — Martin Marietta Corp. said it has received a $185-million contract to produce an additional 400 jet engine-thrust reversers for GE Aircraft Engines’ CF6-80C2 turbofan engines.
Martin Marietta Aero & Naval Systems at Baltimore will produce the fan reversers, with delivery scheduled to begin in 1992.
The CF6-80C2 engines are installed in the Boeing 747 and 767, McDonnell Douglas MD-11, and Airbus Industries A300 and A310 airliners, the company said.
