Keating Catches Up on His Late House Payments

PHOENIX —
Charles H. Keating Jr. has caught up on late mortgage payments to avert foreclosure and an auction of his million-dollar suburban home, a spokesman said.
The chairman of financially beleaguered American Continental Corp. “was able through gifts from friends to make the necessary payments and bring the mortgage up to where it is current,” company spokesman Brad Boland said. Boland didn’t disclose the amount of the payment.
