Dessert Takes Minutes in a Microwave

This dessert, Pineapple With Fudge Sauce, takes just minutes to prepare, with the help of the microwave oven. Ripe pineapple and creamy vanilla ice cream are drizzled with a dark, orange chocolate sauce. The sauce is made of semisweet chocolate pieces and orange liqueur.

PINEAPPLE WITH FUDGE SAUCE

1 large pineapple

1 cup semisweet chocolate pieces

1/4 cup whipping cream

2 tablespoons orange liqueur

2 tablespoons orange juice

1 pint vanilla ice cream

Twist crown from pineapple. Cut pineapple lengthwise in half. Remove fruit from shells with curved knife. Cut each half crosswise into 6 slices.

Combine chocolate pieces, cream, liqueur and orange juice in microwave-safe measuring cup. Microwave on HIGH (100% power) 2 to 3 minutes until chocolate melts. Stir to blend.

Arrange sliced pineapple on 4 dessert plates. Mound ice cream over pineapple and drizzle with fudge sauce. Makes 4 servings.
