New Courthouse Opposed

Share

I attended the County Board of Supervisors meeting on Aug. 7 on the courthouse site at Plummer and Winnetka. I was amazed the representatives of the court, led by Edward Kritzman, would resort to lies and half-truths in order to win their case.

Plummer Street was referred to as an eight-lane highway when in fact, it is a four-lane street.

We are very concerned about the undesirable people a courthouse will bring to the neighborhood and the free time they will have to roam the neighborhood to see who they can rip off. As anyone who has been to court knows, there is plenty of idle time.

If we could find a two-headed gopher or a three-legged frog on the property the problem would be solved and there would be no courthouse. But 2,000 families trying to protect their neighborhood do not seem to matter.
