Alhambra : Building Limits Extended
Builders of apartment and condominium projects in Alhambra will continue to face temporary development standards that limit the size of new structures.
The City Council voted unanimously Monday to extend the requirements until July 23, 1991, although Assistant City Manager P. Michael Paules said the temporary standards will be dropped as soon as a permanent ordinance is adopted, which, he said, may be in a few months.
The interim standards require that multi-unit dwellings be no higher than 35 feet, maximum driveway width be 12 feet for 10 or fewer parking spaces, and that no more than 60% of a property smaller than 20,000 square feet or 70% of a larger lot be covered with living space.
