Chernobyl Restarted After Control System Failure

MOSCOW —
An atomic reactor at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, closed after an electrical failure, has been repaired and restarted without any radioactive leakage, the Ukrainian Interior Ministry said Saturday.
“There was no radioactive leakage. The radioactivity level around the station is normal,” a spokesman for the Interior Ministry in Kiev said by telephone.
