Appalachian Trail Hikers Alerted After Two Deaths

DUNCANNON, Pa. —
Police officers scoured a section of the Appalachian Trail on Friday for clues to the deaths of two hikers, and officials warned hikers to avoid the entire 230-mile stretch of trail in Pennsylvania. The bodies were found Thursday by two other hikers at Cove Mountain Shelter, five miles southwest of Duncannon.
