Tune in Tomorrow: KOST-FM in Los Angeles was named station of the year in the adult-contemporary format category by the National Assn. of Broadcasters on Saturday in Boston. The award for the classic hits/Top 40 category went to KIIS-FM, and KABC-AM was tapped for its news-talk format at the radio convention. Talk-show host Larry King was named personality of the year for network or syndicated shows. The winner for station of the year in a major market was KMOX-AM in St. Louis, Mo., and WGN-AM in Chicago was named legendary station of the year.
