Nationalistic Dreams of Unity in Middle East
There is one solution to move peace forward in the Persian Gulf that ought to be initiated by President Bush.
Call for a United Nations-sponsored all-Arab conference inclusive of Kuwait, the victim, Iraq, the aggressor, and Saudi Arabia, the prey. Give the Arab nations the instrument needed to obtain the withdrawal of Iraqi troops from Kuwait.
The critical element to make this solution work is President Bush. The initiative must be his.
