WORLD IN BRIEF : PAKISTAN : Bhutto Faces Second Corruption Trial

Ousted Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto was ordered to stand trial on a second corruption charge involving gas contracts and alleged nepotism. A judge heading a special tribunal ruled that the caretaker government has presented enough evidence to indict Bhutto, and he set a trial date of Oct. 9. Bhutto is accused of canceling contracts for the distribution of liquefied gas and giving them to friends and family.
