J. Tomilson Hill, 42, was named vice chairman and co-chief executive of Lehman Bros., one of several executive appointments announced by Shearson Lehman Bros. Formed in August, Lehman Bros. is the investment banking arm of Shearson Lehman. The reorganization was directed by American Express Co., which owns Shearson. Hill succeeds Sherman R. Lewis Jr., who will become vice chairman of Shearson Lehman Bros. Holdings Inc., the investment firm’s parent company.
