Recycling Might Provide Some Disposable Income

Those bottles, old oil cans, magazines and newspapers that have been building up in your garage are recyclable; maybe even valuable. The state Integrated Waste Management Board has released a list of San Gabriel Valley recycling centers that accept an array of disposable products. Some centers pay for the materials. The board has a toll-free hot line for recycling information: (800) 553-2962. The line is often busy and does not provide information about prices paid for recylables. Local centers--with phone numbers listed below--provide that information. The following list is distinct from another previously published in The Times, which featured centers certified by the state to pay for beverage containers.
