Rampage in Berlin Staged by 60 Youths
Reuters
BERLIN —
Youths, some masked, went on a rampage, smashing shop windows and vandalizing cars in Berlin early Saturday, police said.
At least 60 youths rampaged through four districts in western Berlin, a police spokesman said. One group tried unsuccessfully to set fire to a bank in the suburb of Wilmersdorf.
There were no arrests, and the motive for the attacks--the first in Berlin since leftists rioted to protest Wednesday’s unity celebrations--was unknown.
