Search for Loch Ness Monster Fails Again
Reuters
DRUMNADROCHIT, Scotland —
The monster supposed to be lurking in Loch Ness remained hidden Sunday as the latest search turned up no hard evidence and a prize of nearly $500,000 for such evidence of the beast went unclaimed.
A Scottish marine survey company, however, was given $3,000 in prize money after its radar made contact with what was described as a large unidentified object up to 25 feet long.
There have been 4,000 so-called sightings of something curious in the loch, but no proof of a prehistoric monster.
