SINGAPORE — an stock markets plunged today, losing much of their recent gains, following Wall Street’s sharp drop Tuesday on rocketing oil prices and renewed Middle East tensions.
In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng index slumped 41.11 points to 2,872.41. The broader-based Hong Kong index dropped 26.81 points to 1,884.81.
The Tokyo market, the region’s biggest, was closed for a public holiday, as was Taiwan’s.
